Most engineers I know don’t have issues with the technical aspects of their profession.
They can understand and solve problems effectively. They can sit for hours and debug horrendous vibe-coded software from their clients. And they can adapt to the new trends of technology faster than most people can.
But when it comes to their personal development, I see these issues over and over:
They suffer from poor mental health.
They don’t know how to communicate ideas.
They don’t know how to behave in social settings.
They can’t separate professional endeavors from personal life.
They have poor control over how much money they make and spend.
